New Orleans 1866 follows the struggles of post civil War America, set in 1865 - 1877. It centers on President Andrew Johnson (Starring role) and his family. And around four family circles (North and South), epitomized by the Abolitionist family's Sara Dostie (Co-Starring role). Sarah heads to New Orleans with the newly Congressionally authorized Freedman's Bureau to teach newly freed slaves.
